Rip it up and start again

I have been really getting into my podcasts lately.  There are loads of great ones to listen to and I had a stack downloaded to catch up on this weekend.  Modern Sew City is a good one if you don’t know where to start. I really enjoyed Stephanie interviewing Ashley from Film in the Fridge (FITF PODCAST MODERN SEW CITY) When I say interviewing it’s more like a natural conversation. I could totally relate to what these ladies were saying.  When I get asked how I manage to make so much, the reality of juggling sewing with daily life, other stuff just doesn’t get done. And it’s OK!  Check out Film in the Fridge. Gorgeous sewing projects and beautiful photo’s.

I am still plugging away at the pattern testing for nightingale quilts. If I was going to give this quilt a name it would have to be Rip it up, and start again!  The amount of times I sewed the blocks the wrong way round… I proudly showed my OH my finished top just for him to say ‘Oh, did you mean to sew that corner the other way?’ Aaaaargh, unpick, unpick!! The patterns great and the blocks straightforward. There has been no need for mistakes. I have just been totally distracted. Does this happen to you? On the home straight now.. Really looking forward to showing you my version of the quilt in September.

Until next time..

Lucy
